BILS (Daniel Oshodi-Alagoa) Daniel Oshodi-Alagoa, better known as BILS, is a boundary-pushing Afrorap and Afropop talent from Lagos, Nigeria. A graduate of Texas Southern University with a degree in Computer Science, he merges sharp lyricism, melody, and creativity with the precision of a producer who understands every layer of his craft. The name BILS, short for Built In Lagos State, was given to him by his older brother. After his brother’s passing, Daniel carried the name forward as a tribute, turning it into a statement of identity and resilience. Over the years, BILS has carved a unique path with standout projects: Pay Your Bills: Eviction Notice (2017), his breakout debut, which introduced his distinct fusion of rap and Afropop. Mans On The Move (2019), an EP that displayed both growth and versatility. BGNLT (Bad Guys Need Love Too), his most recent body of work, featuring collaborations with Simi, Liya, Ice Prince, and Big Klef. BILS has earned multiple Nigeria Entertainment Award nominations and performed on stages across Nigeria and internationally. His sound, anchored in Lagos but reaching across continents, combines raw energy, relatable storytelling, and forward-thinking artistry.
